Line Design University relies on relationships to implement and maintain a Public Safety program. The Public Safety program begins by obtaining support from electric utility management team. Once the management team supports the Public Safety program, Line Design University develops a Line Design Compliance Plan that identifies a continuing improvement process to develop the line design department with the goal to obtain state statute compliance, reduce utility liability and improve the skills of line design personnel.
A Public Safety program is developed around a sound Engineering Structure that is supported by the state, National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors, National Society of Professional Engineers and the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies. The combination of state government and the three professional organizations support the safety and welfare of the general public.
